What is Clean Eating?

The Basics:
Clean Eating
What is it?
A lifestyle centered around eating mainly unprocessed foods, fresh fruits, and vegetables, lean meats and whole grains.
What to eat?
Fresh fruits and veggies, organic lean meats (beef, turkey, chicken salmon, venison, etc.), nuts, natural nut butters, greek yogurt, whole wheat bread, tortillas and pasta, whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, and wild rice, etc.), rolled oats, hummus, omega-3 enriched eggs, almond milk, egg whites, and lots and lots of water! My personal favorite, Shakeology!
What to avoid?
Soda and other sugary drinks, fast food, fried food, white bread, pasta and rice. Foods with added preservatives. Dried fruits and canned veggies. Products labeled reduced fat or low fat, chips, juice, candy, cereal.
The 80/20 rule
eat healthy whole and minimally processed foods 80% of the time, indulge 20% of the time! Yes you can have a glass of wine or a beer occasionally, everything in moderation!

Think this is something you want to do? I have a great way for you to get started. Starting March 13th you can be part of a 9 day clean eating challenge group. This will do two things for you.
1. get you introduced to clean eating.
2. get you introduced to Shakeology.

Tiffany, what is Shakeology? UM the best thing to ever go into your body for real! Its a protein shake like you have never ever ever ever had! Here is the cool thing, if you don't have Shakeology and want to do this challenge, you can get a sample pack for $19.95! Pretty awesome. So this challenge will be 5 days clean eating and then add 4 days clean eating with Shakeology.

So why do a clean eating challenge? Isn't counting calories enough? Nope. Not at all. All calories are not created equal. When you join a challenge group you have a wonderful support system that teaches you how to maximize your results. I was stuck in my journey but this clean eating challenge got me down 13 pounds, that is with Shakeology everyday and working out with my man Shaun T and the Insanity DVD's!

As a new coach I would love to see 5 people sign up for this challenge. The requirements are, you have to want this, you have to eat clean and use my fitness pal to log your food and post your charts everyday to the closed group, and for the last four days add your Shakeology.

Here is where you sign up for your sample Shakeology and then contact me on Facebook at Tiffany Danielle Willoughby to let me know you want to participate in the challenge! (Must be in the US or Canada!)

Any questions? Just let me know! Tomorrow I will be posting some clean eating recipes :D
